Your Mother Is Always With You…

Your mother is always with you…
She’s the whisper of the leaves
as you walk down the street.
She’s the smell of bleach
in your freshly laundered socks.
She’s the cool hand on your brow
when you’re not well.
Your mother lives inside your laughter.
She’s crystallized in every tear drop.
She’s the place you came from,
your first home…
She’s the map you follow
with every step that you take.
She’s your first love
and your first heart break…
and nothing on earth can separate you.
Not time, Not space…
Not even death…
will ever separate you
from your mother…
You carry her inside of you…

Darling, my world is beautiful
because you are in it.
The best experiences I have enjoyed
because of you.

Our children. The fun times
we have all shared.
The painful times that have led
to me becoming a better person.

And all the while your steadfast love
has made our home an awesome place
to live in, to play in,
to cry in, to grow in.

Happy Mother’s Day To You.
A very special mother, and wife.
I love you and I always will.

Your Husband

Pretty cool ain’t it?

I Miss You, Mom

Best Mothers Day Poems from Daughter

I used to think that people didn’t need
their moms so much after they grew up.
But I’ve realized that’s not true.
So often, when I’m making a decision,
I wish you were here
so I could ask your advice.
And so many times,
when something happens
that I know you would enjoy,
I wish you were here
to share it with me.
Now that I’m older
I’ve realized how special our relationship is.
And while I’m thankful for this bond,
somehow it makes me miss you more..
Mom, I love you so very much.

If I Knew As A Child
If I knew as a child what I know now, Mom,
I probably wouldn’t have made things
so hard for you.
I would have understood
that you were looking out for my best interest.
even though it may not have seemed so at the time.
I would have known how difficult it is to let go,
to stand back and let someone you love
learn from their mistakes.
I would have realized
how fortunate I was to have a mother
who was always there for me,
even after an argument,
even after I’d said things
I shouldn’t have.
While it’s too late for a lot of things
it’s not too late for me to tell you
that I appreciate how loving you are,
how giving you’ve always been
and that even though
I may not always be good at showing it,
I love you very much.

Happy Mothers’ Day

Mothers’ Day…
Ordinary days come alive
When you think of someone special
It even lightens your mood
And delivers positive thoughts to you
These thoughts could be expressed
In various ways…
Today, mother is your day
The sun is bright and up in the sky
The day is glowing
With so much warmth
Each face I see is aglow
With this great joy from within…
I wondered at the brightness of it all
What is so special about today?
I asked nobody in particular…
“HAPPY MOTHERS’ DAY!”
Someone cheered as I peered outside
Yes, I got it now
Today is your day
Lovely mother, dark as ebony
Yet the fairest among women
Great achiever though with little formal education
The unstoppable woman…
Your thought dearest mother
Came filtering through…
I remembered all you went through for us
I thought of the loss that brought about rejection
The pains, the abandonment, the loneliness
The struggles you had to go through
To see us successful
The sleepless nights you had…Thank you Mom…for standing by us!

Mother’s Love

Best Mothers Day Poems

Her love is like
an island in life’s ocean,
vast and wide
A peaceful, quiet shelter
From the wind, the rain, the tide.
‘Tis bound on the north by Hope,
By Patience on the West,
By tender Counsel on the South
And on the East by Rest.
Above it like a beacon light
Shine Faith, and Truth, and Prayer;
And thro’ the changing scenes of life
I find a haven there.

Wonderful Mother

God made a wonderful mother,
A mother who never grows old;
He made her smile of the sunshine,
And He moulded her heart of pure gold;
In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks fair roses you see;
God made a wonderful mother,
And He gave that dear mother to me.

What you mean to me

My mind is longing for love,
A love my heart just found.
Words will not describe!
The emotions I feel inside.
When we are together,
I need to hold you close.
Heart to mind, or lips to lips.
I love your smile,
your sexy charm,
Your valiant walk,
your long flowing hair,
All these things sets alarm.
To each day I walk alone,
No one can fill my heart… your home.
I think about you all damn day,
But mostly when I lie awake.
I never dreamt much in the past,
Now I do and it’s for you.
I will stand by your side,
Through thick and all,
To see that gorgeous smile,
That always makes me fall.
When you think you have nothing left,
I SWEAR to you, I’ll be left.
Your gentle lips and your beautiful glow,
An angel I have, from head to toe.
I know these words,
my heart has shown,
To you I vow these words alone.

An Inward Struggle!

Senses numb, breathing hard and streite
Each moment, a battle with a demon inside
Its enormity vast, not shrinking, even slight
Leading to my soul’s perplexity & plight
Confound in its maze, lacking options outright
Lost in its depth, but gaze on height
For a new day I long, for this sun to shine bright
But darkness still murky, lasting long is this night.’

Remnants Of Sanity

Between fiscal cliffs and threatening flus.
Self righteous, religious lip givers,
And morally corrupted fanatics…
Expressing a forgiveness wished from pulpits.
To continue giving their hypocritical points of view.

OR…
Lieing politicians,
Representing their lieing constituents.
Foreclosed homes and joblessness…
Repossessed lives once valued as a standard.
And crazed gun toters,
Psychologists and newscasters…
Are attempting to convince,
These events have nothing to do with a society…
Slowly being flushed down the tubes.

However…
Those holding close to their chests,
To protect remnants of sanity they keep treasured…
To possess as if obsessed,
Should not interpret any of these visual depictions,
Seen to observe…
As an unleashed madness revealed to be condoned.
No!
This is not the case.

Although…
What is wished that everyone perceives,
Is…
To acknowledge just the few who happen to be,
Mass murderers, crooks, deceivers and cheats…
As a small representation of those who choose to vent,
And destroy the lives of others…
Because they had awakened one day to make wrong decisions.
And the over 300 million guns and other weapons people possess,
Are kept to protect their freedoms ‘whenever’ that need should arise.

‘Oh.
Okay.
Well…
I am so glad that was clearly explained.
I feel so relieved now.

Perhaps those people who do these awful things,
Should be taught much earlier in their lives…
They have been naughty. And…with a firmness,
Asked to leave the dinner table ‘without’ getting dessert.
And sent to sit alone in their bedrooms.
That will send to them the appropriate message.’

The Key To True Happiness

The door is locked,
Where does the key hide?
Your desires are blocked,
Rumours are, that you cried.
Because you say you have never felt,
That sense of belonging, even joy,
It’s like you’re trapped in ice, and it won’t even melt,
As the world around you is destroyed.
So what makes you so desperate to obtain this ‘key’?
It does not make your life!
As you you know, you don’t need a key to unlock a door,
Nor to kill someone do you need a knife.
When it comes to happiness, you need to know,
You can feel whatever you choose,
You don’t have wallow in sorrow, so,
You can accept joy, or refuse.
Your life turns out however you make it,
So, happiness- it needs no key, nor lock
Happiness is a challenge- take it
And after that, all you’ll have to do is knock.

Divine Fairytale

Please, breathe your godly breath upon me,
Show me that there’s still some romance left.
Give me fruits, grow them on my tree,
Don’t want to be a witness to your theft.

You stole whatever I had left in my soul,
You placed a bulled right through my bleeding self.
Painted my inner organs with lifeless coal,
Broke my remains, put the rest on your floating shelf.

I need you more than I need to survive,
You’re not real, a phantom that breaks me slowly
Please, just a second, come to me, come to life,
Just breathe your godly breath upon me.

And when you’re done, burn whatever’s left,
Please, darling, leave no trace I was ever there,
My love, I can’t forget you, I’m not deft,
You’re a burden I love to bear.

Just know that I shall be waiting here forever,
For as long as my broken body will hold on,
You are my fairytale, my eternal lover,
You’ll still be inside my soul long after I’m gone.

Stormy Weather

Allow it
wander
wonder
ponder
thunder
in the distance
clouds rolling in

Stormy weather
or not to act
against better
judgment
circumstances
consequences
to every action
taken
away there I am

Transfixed
waiting
anticipating
rain

Droplets falling
upon my
forehead
across my face

Down pour
required
cloud burst
to wash away
all
I
ponder
wonder
wander
if I allow it

Lightning strike
forecasting
stormy weather

I can smell it in the air
